About SBS University
Originally established in 1994 as the Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research, the institute was a pioneer in professional education in Uttarakhand and the broader Northern Region, being the first privately run institute to offer a BPharm program. It was officially granted university status in 2016 through the Sardar Bhagwan Singh University Act (Uttarakhand Act No. 12 of 2018).
Founded as a university in 2018, SBS University now offers programs across diverse fields including commerce, agricultural sciences, forestry, management, biotechnology, basic sciences, medical lab technology, and microbiology, aligning with the career aspirations of young students. The university provides courses at UG, PG, and PhD levels and brings over 30 years of experience in holistic and comprehensive education.
