About NIT Delhi
National Institute of Delhi (NITD) is one of the top government institutes situated in Delhi. NIT Delhi was established in 2010 by the Parliamentary Act and has been appreciated for being the University of national importance. The institute is spread over 51 acres of land in Narela, Delhi. NIT Delhi is approved by AICTE and UGC. National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi has achieved an NIRF rank of 65 in the engineering category.
NIT Delhi offers various courses in the engineering and technology field. It includes BTech, MTech and doctoral programmes. For BTech admission in NIT Delhi, a candidate needs to appear for JEE Mains examination, the admission process is carried through JoSAA counselling. - JEE Main 2026 Session 1 provisional answer key has been released on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can check the answer keys and their response sheets online. The objection window will remain open until February 6, 2026, while the final answer key and results are expected to be announced by February 12, 2026.
- JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registrations are now open at jeemain.nta.nic.in for admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning programmes. The last date to apply is February 25, 2026, and the exam will be conducted between April 2 and April 9, 2026.
- JEE Main 2026 admit card is now available for the examinations scheduled on January 28 and 29. Candidates appearing for the B.Arch and B.Planning papers can download their admit cards from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- JEE Main 2026 admit card has been released for candidates appearing in the examinations scheduled between January 21 and 24. - The GATE 2026 admit card has been released on the official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registered candidates can download their admit card online. The examination will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions each day.

Campus Facilities
NIT Delhi Campus
The National Institute of Technology Delhi transit campus is located in IAMR campus Narela, New Delhi. The construction work of permanent NIT Delhi campus on NH-1 near Narela Subcity, New Delhi is expected to be over soon. The current NIT Delhi IAMR Narela campus offers the following facilities to the students:
Classrooms: The NIT Delhi classrooms are well equipped with modern facilities like multimedia projectors, electronic notice boards, E-podium with audio-video recording facility and many more. These modern technologies complement traditional learning methods and enhance the learning ability of the students. The NIT Delhi classrooms are structured according to the available technologies for smooth dissemination of knowledge.
Library: The Central Library of NIT Delhi contains hundreds of books, reference and study materials related to the field of Science, Technology and Engineering. The library facilities are accessible to all the students, staff and faculty members of the Institute. The NIT Delhi Central Library is continuously expanding in terms of books and study materials to serve the purpose of Science, Technology and Engineering since its inception in 2012. Located on the first floor of the IAMR building, it provides a spacious reading room with lighting and proper ventilation.
Computer Centre: The NIT Delhi computer centre has:

Laboratories: NIT Delhi has a total of eight laboratories where the students can conduct experiments, research and measurements. All the laboratories are well equipped with state-of-art infrastructure and equipment.
Sports Facilities: The sports department of NIT Delhi has arrangements for several outdoor and indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess, carrom, football, cricket etc which provides the students with a much-needed break from the monotonous classroom study. NIT Delhi campus presently possesses a football ground, cricket pitch, basketball and volleyball court.
Hostel Facilities: Well-furnished residential facilities or hostels are provided to the outstation students in NIT Delhi. The institute provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. The Boy’s hostel is situated in the Institute’s main campus in Narela while the Girl’s hostel is situated in Rohini, New Delhi. Presently the NIT Delhi hostel can accommodate 150 students (boys and girls combined).
Other than these, the institute also provides mess and canteen facilities, guest house and transportation facilities to the students.
